Sage-Garlic Baste

Grated peel and juice of 1 lemon

  3            tablespoons olive oil

  2            tablespoons fresh sage -- minced

or

  1 ½       teaspoons sage -- dry

  2            cloves garlic -- minced

  ½           teaspoon salt

  ¼           teaspoon black pepper

 

Combine all ingredients in small saucepan; cook and stir over medium heat 4 minutes. Use immediately as baste for turkey or chicken.
