14-5 pound top round beef roast
6-8Kaiser rolls
1/2cupprepared horseradish
1/2cupmayonnaise
2tablespoonsWorcestershire sauce
1onionthinly sliced
Lettuce and tomatooptional
Ingredients for Seasoning Blend:
2tablespoonskosher salt
1tablespoonfreshly ground black pepper
1tablespoongarlic powder
1tablespoononion powder
1tablespoonpaprika
1tablespoonchili powder
1tablespoondried thyme
1tablespoondried oregano
1teaspooncayenne pepperoptional
Instructions
Preheat your charcoal grill for indirect cooking, targeting a temperature of 250-275°F.
In a small bowl, mix together the seasoning blend and set it aside.
Pat the beef roast dry with paper towels and evenly coat it with the seasoning blend, using your hands to ensure proper coverage.
Place the beef roast directly over the coals and sear each side for 2-3 minutes until well browned.
Move the beef roast to the cooler side of the grill and cook with the lid on for approximately 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 130-135°F for medium-rare.
Remove the beef roast from the grill and let it rest for at least 10 minutes. Thinly slice the beef against the grain.
In a small bowl, mix the horseradish, mayonnaise, and Worcestershire sauce to make the tiger sauce.
To serve, pile the sliced beef high on a Kaiser roll, adding sliced onions, lettuce, and tomato if desired. Spread the tiger sauce on the other half of the roll and top the beef with it.
