8oz.cream cheesesoftened
1/4cupunsalted buttersoftened
2tbsp.tomato paste
2tbsp.Dijon mustard
2tbsp.capersdrained and chopped
1tbsp.finely chopped shallot
1tbsp.paprika
1tsp.caraway seeds
Salt and black pepperto taste
Optional: chopped fresh parsley or chivesfor garnish
Instructions
In a medium mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth.
Add tomato paste, Dijon mustard, capers, shallot, paprika, caraway seeds, salt, and black pepper to the bowl. Mix until well combined.
Taste the mixture and adjust the seasoning as desired, adding more salt, pepper, or paprika if needed.
Transfer the Liptauer dip to a serving bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
