Ingredients
2teaspoonshoney
1package active dry yeast
¾cupwarm water
2 ¼cupsall-purpose flour
½teaspoonsalt
2tablespoonsyellow cornmeal
cooking spray
Instructions
In a large bowl, dissolve the honey and yeast in ¾ cup warm water. Let it stand for 5 minutes or until bubbly. Lightly spoon flour into dry measuring cups and level with a knife. Add 2 cups flour and salt to the yeast mixture. Stir until a soft dough forms. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 6 minutes until smooth and elastic. Add enough of the remaining flour, 1 tablespoon at a time, to prevent the dough from sticking to your hands. The dough should feel slightly sticky.
Place the dough in a large bowl coated with cooking spray, turning it to coat the top. Cover the bowl and let the dough rise in a warm place (around 85°F), free from drafts, for 30 minutes or until it doubles in size. Gently press two fingers into the dough. If the indentation remains, the dough has risen enough.
Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Sprinkle a baking sheet with the yellow cornmeal.
Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness and shape. Transfer the dough to the prepared baking sheet and add your desired pizza toppings.
Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted to perfection.
