2teaspoonsactive dry yeast
3 ⅓cupsunbleached flour
1teaspoonsugar
1 ½teaspoonskosher salt
1 ¼cupswarm water
3teaspoonsextra virgin olive oil
Instructions
In a 2-cup liquid measure, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Allow the mixture to stand until foamy, approximately 3 to 5 minutes. Insert the dough blade into the Cuisinart work bowl and add flour, salt, and 2 teaspoons of olive oil.
With the food processor running on dough speed, pour the liquid mixture through the small feed tube as quickly as the flour can absorb it. Process until the dough cleans the sides of the work bowl and forms a ball. Continue processing for an additional 30 seconds to knead the dough. Note: The dough may be slightly sticky. Evenly coat the dough with the remaining 2 teaspoons of olive oil. Transfer it to a plastic food storage bag, seal the top, and let it rise in a warm place for approximately 45 minutes. Utilize this time to prepare your desired pizza toppings.
Once the dough has risen, place it on a lightly floured surface and punch it down. Roll it out to your desired crust size, and it's ready to use for your homemade pizza creation.
